I started this journey into the land of 2.0 because I want to keep up. My children are light years ahead - but still need "Mom" for common sense things.
I thought I had a grip on text messaging till my daughter the other night said TTYL.....I pondered this ....I stared at this .... and finally I just had to know.....so I sent her a text....."hhmmm what is TTYL?" After she finished shaking her head and probably letting all her friends know with a "OMG" she let mom in on it...."talk to you later".
So technology keeps coming and I keep trying but I can't keep up - I will try to stay up on the information that will not get a "OMG" from my children but otherwise there is just way too much out there to even try to keep up on everything.

I am right with you on this one Donna. The boys still need me for a lot of things, but I can quickly see the day coming when they know way more than I do. It's already here with Duncan in some cases. Especially when he more or less taught himself HTML from a Dummies book earlier this year. Another reason to go through JPL learning 2.0 to keep just barely in front of my 11 and 8 year olds.
